Along with sites like The Brooklyn Bridge, Hoover Dam, The Alamo and The Empire
State Building, The Guthrie Historic District was honored in 1999 as a National Historic
Landmark. There are over 2,000 buildings in the District both residential and
commercial covering 1,400 acres!

In addition, Guthrie boasts eight buildings or areas that have been recognized on
the National Register of Historic Places. Among those listed are: The Carnegie Library,
The State Capital Publishing Company, The Excelsior Library, The Guthrie Armory,
The Logan County Courthouse, The Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, St Joseph's
Convent and Academy and the Guthrie Historic District.
